Jude tutored me in my applications to study medicine, she provided crucial feedback in both my personal statement and interview preparation.

Her personal statement was tailored and ensured it had the best impact. For example, I had a tendency to overuse certain complex medical terminology and the phrasing of the statement was not quite as impactful as it could have been. Jude ensured that I used terminology that would be expected of a prospective medical student and structured the statement to show that I have the potential to make a good medical student using appropriate examples. My statement initially tried to demonstrate capabilities that were beyond that of a sixth form student, instead they showed examples of skills and attributes from my experiences at the time and showed how they demonstrated a capacity to study medicine and make a good doctor.

In interview preparation, Jude helped my interview technique in terms of content, body language and voice control. Her feedback ensured that I improved my interview technique after each session and made sure that my tone, manner and terminology were all appropriate and presenting me in the best light. Her sessions improved my confidence and ensured that my enthusiasm came through in the best light.
