Tutoring from £35/hr
How does it work?
Online tutoring is via Zoom or MS Teams at a time convenient to you. I am flexible with timings, I know that it’s a busy time for students and your other commitments can get in the way, and what you needs can vary throughout your course. Regular sessions can be weekly, twice weekly, biweekly, or you may prefer holiday revision courses or occasional tutorials whenever suits you.
GCSE biology: from £35/hr.
Fully booked.
A level biology: from £55/hr.
Regular weekday sessions and focused holiday revision £55-65/hr.
On-demand (same or next day) £70/hr.
AQA essay coaching and marking £50/hr includes help with how to write the essay, feedback on your practice essays on guidance on how to improve your score.
Undergraduate and postgraduate: POA.
I reserve some sessions each week for low income/concessions. Please contact me to see if you are eligible, and if spaces are available.

Personal Statement Development £60/hr
How does it work?
We will start with an initial online chat about your UCAS choices. Led by you, I will help you tease out the skills and experiences you have which are what the admissions tutors are looking for. At this stage you will likely find out you have many more transferable skills than you thought you had, but we will also be able to identify any gaps you need to fill before applying. An online or face-to-face session follows where, guided by me, you develop a robust structure for your PS. Together we will work out what goes where.
You work independently to populate each subsection of your PS. When you are happy, you email me a draft and I will spend time looking carefully and provide you with critical feedback. A final session is scheduled where we tweak your PS, making sure it’s the right length and ensuring that it’s you who stands out from the crowd and secures that offer or interview.
Typical cost to get your PS UCAS-ready is 4-6 hrs

Interview Practice £60/hr
How does it work?
We will start with an initial online chat about the course and university where the interview is to take place. You provide me with a copy of your personal statement. I then work on developing appropriate interview topics, questions, scenarios etc appropriate for your interview, and I will email you advice on what to research. We schedule a time for the online or face-to-face interview to take place. During the interview I will give you feedback and after, you will receive a written report on how you did, with hints and tips on how to ensure you succeed.
Typical cost is for 4 -6 hrs depending on the course and university, and to ensure we are both confident you are interview-ready.

How does it work?
From understanding specifications and mark schemes, working with agencies, tax implications and safeguarding, setting up and optimising your website, to securing and tutoring your first student. I can help you with everything you need to know about becoming a private tutor, and will mentor you through your initial stages as you find your tutoring feet.

Payment details and cancellation policy
Payment is due immediately after the session has been completed except for one-off and on-demand sessions when payment is due before the lesson commences. PayPal/bank details will be provided at the time of engagement.
Cancellation:
48hrs minimum notice is required of full fee is payable. Exceptions for unforeseen circumstances (Illness etc).
